LYNDEN – Once the Lions scored their 10th run of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning, it was enough as Lynden downed the Golden Eagles 10-0 on Thursday.

Marsh

Junior James Marsh supplied the pitching and senior Trevor Abitia provided the power for the Lions. Marsh went five strong, shutout innings, allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out seven. Dylan Parcels closed out the game on the mound.

Abitia crushed a grand slam in the fourth inning, and also hit a double, while Marcos VanderVeen, Brendan Kleindel, Jordan Holmstrom and Carter Parcher each had a base hit for Lynden. VanderVeen, Holmstrom and Trevin Hope each walked twice.

Ferndale got hits from Bryan Ebe, Reid Benson, Geirean Hatchett and Brett Westford.
