A two-run triple in the top of the fourth inning by junior leadoff hitter Gordy Bedlington tied the game at 3-3, and he went on to score the go-ahead run just a few pitches later on an error, as the Lions split the two-game series with the Vikings. Bedlington finished with three hits, and he also pitched a perfect 1-2-3 bottom of the seventh to pick up his second save of the season. Junior outfielder Dawson VanDalen went 4-for-4 in the game, and senior first baseman Spencer Adams was 2-for-3. Eli Dimter struck out four batters and allowed just two hits in three innings of relief to pick up his first win of the season.

The Trojans scored five runs in the final two innings, but were unable to complete the comeback on the road. Trevyn Crabtree struck out five batters in his second start of the season, but was ultimately saddled with the loss. Junior catcher Gabe Galbraith led Meridian with two hits, including a double, while he, Crabtree and junior infielder Trey Alexander each drove in a pair of runs. Junior Nate Payne doubled, was hit by a pitch twice and scored two runs.
