Bernardy

The Trojans pushed their winning streak to five matches in a row as they defeated the Borderites 25-19, 25-17 and 25-16.

Power and efficiency was the name of the game for sophomore outside hitter Melanie Short who finished with 15 kills on a .591 hitting percentage. She also led Meridian with 13 digs.

Dominick

Senior Chloe Bressler dished out 35 assists, junior Eden Bernardy added 10 kills (.400 hitting percentage), six digs and two aces, and senior Gracie Pap blasted home eight kills with a .727 hitting percentage.

Blaine junior Teia Dube finished with 14 kills and 12 digs, both of which led her team. Senior Ari Johnson had seven kills and three aces, and senior Paige Dominick added 10 digs and three kills.

 

LYNDEN CHRISTIAN 3, ANACORTES 0

Pierce

The Lyncs got back on the winning track at home by defeating the Seahawks in straight sets, 25-15, 25-7 and 25-15.

It was a well-balanced attack as sophomore Tyra Dykstra led the way with 13 kills and four aces to go with her five digs.

Senior Ella Fritts finished with 28 assists, while also totaling five digs, three kills, two aces and two blocks. Junior Ellie Pierce led Lynden Christian with nine digs, and junior Jocelyn Eshuis finished with four aces. Senior Alli Wright added four kills and two blocks.

LYNDEN 3, MOUNT BAKER 0

DeJong

The Mountaineers got off the a great start at home, but the Lions eventually imposed their will and won 25-19, 25-12 and 25-8.

Senior Campbell DeJong dug out 14, which led to Lynden’s powerful offense and it’s director, sophomore Izzie Stephan who handed out 27 assists.

Williams

Recipients included junior Finley Parcher (15 kills) and senior Rian Stephan (eight kills). Senior Lexi Hermanutz added 13 digs, and junior Sarah McVie picked up two blocks. Parcher also served up an incredible nine aces.

Mount Baker was led by senior Maddi Lewis who had 11 digs and two kills. Senior Kaia Gesmundo added eight digs and two kills, while senior Maggie Williams served up two aces.

Junior Rebeca Soares and Violet Fox, and senior Reace Brown, combined for six blocks at the net.
