After a scoreless first inning, the Borderites showed their offense prowess by scoring in every inning that followed. Sophomore Aaliyah Bowman had four hits and drove in four runs to lead the Blaine offense, which also got a pair of hits from senior Emersyn Bakker and juniors Shaylie Daniels and Brie Smith. Bakker allowed just three hits and struck out eight batters to pick up her seventh win of the season. Two of the three Golden Eagle hits came off the bat of junior Kaelin Blakley, one of them being a homerun.

The Pioneer offense exploded for 15 hits and 21 runs in the five inning contest. Junior catcher Alayna Dykstra had a huge day with two singles, a homerun, five runs scored and five runs batted in, and senior center fielder Lainey Kimball added three hits, including a triple and four runs scored. Shortstop Shelby Mason also had a big game with three runs scored, three runs batted in and three stolen bases. The Mariners got a pair of hits from senior Lucy Greenberg, and senior Alex Yaralian knocked in two runs.

Lion sophomore Campbell DeJong had three hits, and drove in three runs, while senior catcher Kasi Thomas drove in four runs with two doubles as Lynden powered past the Lyncs. The score was tied 1-1 after two innings, but the Lions added on in each of next three innings. Lynden Christian’s defense was off as well, as it committed six errors. Lynden senior Trinity Andrew struck out five batters in her four plus innings of work. The Lyncs got a pair of hits from junior Kassidy VanSoest, and sophomores Taylor Craig and Hannah Terpstra.
