Scoring runs against Cubs sophomore pitcher Kasandra Gonzalez is always incredibly tough. The Borderites found out on Monday that just getting on base would be tough as Gonzalez struck out 10 batters and threw a no-hitter. The game was scoreless through the first four innings, but Sedro-Woolley was able to push across a run in the top of the fifth, and error in the top of the sixth opened the door for three more runs in the following inning. Blaine seniors Millie Berkeley and Jordyn Vezzetti were able to reach base on walks. Senior pitcher Emersyn Bakker struck out 10 batters and allowed just four hits.
