Lynden Christian 13, Bellingham 3

The Lyncs scored three runs in the fourth inning and followed that up by scoring eight runs in the fifth inning which led the way to victory. Senior Jonah Terpstra struck out four batters in four innings, and didn’t allow a hit, to pick up his first victory of the season. Junior second baseman Austin Engels went 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs batted in, and sophomore shortstop Eli Maberry also added three hits along with two runs batted in. Senior right fielder Jayden Huleatt also knocked in four runs for Lynden Christian. The Bayhawks got base hits from Kai Nelson, Jesse Harward and Hunter Bryant-Pearson.

The Borderites took advantage of nine errors in the field by the Tigers, and scored 14 runs in the second inning before cruising to the road win. Senior pitcher Kieran Markusen got the victory as he gave up just three hits and one run in four innings of work. Senior Alejandro Moser-Hernandez and junior Brady Dohner each collected a pair of hits, and junior catcher Evan Yates knocked in three runs for Blaine.

Selah 6, Nooksack Valley 1

Less than 24 hours after picking up their first victory of the season, the Pioneers were on the road again with a double-header against a strong Selah team. In game one, the Pioneers scored in the first inning on a line-drive single to right field by Cole Bauman which scored Jesse Tresselt, but that would be all the offense that Nooksack Valley could muster. Kasey Newton was 2-for-2 in the game, and also walked once. Sophomore starter Evan Brown struck out three batters in four innings on the mound.

Selah 11, Nooksack Valley 1

It was more of the game in game two as the Vikings scored six runs in the second inning to jump out ahead of the Pioneers. A double by Colby Martin in the fifth inning was followed up by a single by Daemion Perez which scored Martin for Nooksack Valley’s lone run of the game.

Port Angeles 12, Sehome 8

The Mariners scored three runs in the third inning, and three more in the fifth, but the Roughriders scored the last four runs of the game to pick up the win. Ryder McGrath struck out five batters, and knocked in a pair of runs for Sehome, while leadoff hitter Hudson Neff went 3-for-3 at the plate with two runs batted in and three stolen bases.

Sehome 2, Forks 2

Sophomore Keegan Glennon pitched masterfully, as he struck out 10 batters, and allowed just three hits in six innings of work, but the game ended in a tie due to darkness. Hudson Neff picked up a pair of hits and scored both Sehome runs. One on a hit by Glennon and the other on a sacrifice fly from Ryder McGrath.

Orcas Island 12, Mount Baker 2

The Vikings scored in nearly every inning as they obtained the non-league win over the Mountaineers. Mount Baker showed patience at the plate by walking eight times, but were only able to manage one base hit. Individual stats have yet to be obtained for this game.
