FERNDALE 3, BELLINGHAM 1

Butenschoen

It was a battle throughout as the Golden Eagles won the first set 25-20, and the Bayhawks tied it up by winning the second set 25-23. Ferndale was the able to win the next two sets, 25-22 and 25-16.

Flick-Williams

The Golden Eagles were led by senior Mallory Butenschoen who had a team-high 15 kills to go along with her 12 digs and two aces. Senior Tia Gilday was a force up front with 13 kills and five blocks, while also digging out five, as was junior Lay Williams who had eight kills and two blocks.

Junior Kaylie Carver led with 14 digs, sophomore Katrina Ferry had nine aces and freshman Brooklyn Larrabee had 46 assists.

The Bayhawks were led by senior Chayse Flick-Williams who totaled 13 kills, two digs, one assist, three aces and three blocks.

 

LYNDEN 3, SEDRO-WOOLLEY 0

Rice

The Lions took care of business on the road, winning 25-4, 25-19 and 25-5 against the Cubs.

Freshman Finley Parcher was incredibly efficient, hitting .888 while picking up seven kills, two aces and a block. Senior setter Grace Rice dished out 29 assists, but also had seven aces, four kills and four digs.

Senior Haylee Koetje had eight kills, two aces and 11 digs, while senior Ashley Shumate totaled 10 kills, three aces and four digs, and senior Mya VanderYacht was all over the court as she racked up 20 digs.

 

SEHOME 3, OAK HARBOR 0

Burfeind

The Mariners continued their strong season by beating the Wildcats 25-23, 25-16 and 25-19.

The leadership, defensive tenacity and serving of senior Molly Burfeind kept Sehome in the lead the entire night as she put up 12 digs, three aces and two assists.

Junior Maddie Behrends had a team-high three blocks, while sophomore outside hitters Hayden Niewiadomski and Anya Winter combined for 24 kills as they were the beneficiaries of junior setter Emmy Lee who had 21 assists.
