Too many serving and hitting errors allowed the Seahawks to take the first set, 25-21. The Golden Eagles came out on fire for the next two sets, winning them 25-11 and 25-13. Ferndale ultimately won the fourth set 25-22 to take the match. Morgan Hayes led the Golden Eagles with 17 kills and 10 digs. Aysia Mitchell served up four aces and dug out 19, while Madisyn Butenschoen racked up 13 kills at the net. Setter Brooklyn Cagle led the offense with 46 assists and had four aces on the night.
LYNDEN 3, MOUNT VERNON 0
The Lions continued to roll, this time in domination fashion over the Bulldogs, 25-10, 25-8 and 25-9. Lynden had an amazing 20 aces on the night, with Lucy White leading the way with seven. Grace Rice served up six aces and freshman Campbell DeJong added three aces. Kayla DeJong led with 10 kills, and Rice dished out 25 assists.
