Ferndale 19, Lynden Christian 3

The Golden Eagles scored eight runs in each of the first two innings to put the Lyncs in a 16-3 disadvantage early. Junior Dylan Strom allowed just three hits over his five innings of work, and he struck out seven. Jordan Mason and Elijah McCormick each had three hits for Ferndale.

In a great pitching battle, Mountaineer junior Brady West outdueled Bellingham’s Jake Troost. West struck out 13 batters and allowed just two hits in his complete game performance. Troost pitched admirably as well, giving up just three hits in his seven innings of work. Mount Baker centerfielder Ethan Larson hit a line drive up the middle to score Elijah Washburn in the top of the sixth inning to break the 1-1 tie.

Lynden 9, Sehome 4

The Lions offense showed off its consistency by scoring in every inning except for one, while also collecting 11 hits. Junior outfielder Campbell Nolte also hit his first varsity homerun in the contest. Junior pitcher Kaedan Hermanutz picked up his third win of the season, as he struck out seven batters over five innings of work. Mariner freshman Ryder McGrath led his team with two runs batted in and Campbell Robbins led with a pair of base hits.

Trojan freshman Jonah Aase continued to show that he’s one of the best pitchers in the area, hurling another complete game victory against an extremely strong opponent. He scattered five hits while striking out seven Wildcat batters. Senior centerfielder Bryce Johnson went 3-for-3 with a double and two runs batted in and shortstop Daniel Short went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored.

Lakewood 8, Squalicum 7

The Storm held a 6-2 lead late, but the Cougars scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to eventually take the lead. Squalicum scored a run in the seventh, but it was one run short. The middle of the Storm lineup produced heavily with Chase Andersen, Connor Brueske, Elijah Knowlton and Joziah McCloud each racking up a pair of hits.

The Borderite offense was silenced, reaching base just six times against the Seahawks. Senior Aiden Vezzetti pitched well, striking out seven while allowing five hits, but took the tough luck loss. Brady Castellano led Blaine with two hits.

Bases on balls and errors got the best of the Pioneers against the Bulldogs. Nooksack Valley got hits from Cory Olney and Eduardo Cerda just one day after a victory over Sultan.
