In a tightly contested matchup, the Lions won the first set 25-12, but the Pioneers stormed back to win the next two sets, 25-17 and 25-23. Lynden fought back to win the fourth set 25-16, and then take the final set 15-11. A strong Lynden defense, led by Mya Vander Yacht and Mia Apps, helped combat the powerful hitters of Nooksack Valley. Vander Yacht finished with 15 digs and three aces, while Apps had 13 digs. Haylee Koetje had a team-high 17 kills to go with her 10 digs and four aces, and Ashley Shumate totaled 11 kills, 16 digs and four blocks. Sophomore setter Grace Rice distributed 40 assists and had 11 digs and two aces. For the Pioneers, Taylor Lentz had a team-high 13 kills, and Lainey Kimball added nine kills and 21 digs. Hallie Kamphouse had eight kills and 22 digs, and Ellie Van Berkum contributed 21 digs.

FERNDALE 3, LAKEWOOD 0

Cagle

The Golden Eagles remained undefeated as they took care of the Cougars, 25-8, 25-14 and 25-15. Junior Brooklyn Cagle went on an 18-point serving run to begin the first set, and Ferndale used that momentum throughout the entire match. She also led the offensive attack with 29 assists. Outside hitter Morgan Hayes added nine kills to lead her team, and Madisyn Butenschoen poured in seven kills, two blocks and an ace. Sophomore middle blocker Tia Gilday contributed with a pair of kills and a pair of blocks.

LYNDEN CHRISTIAN 3, SEHOME 0

Arnold

The Lyncs had a very strong performance, beating the Mariners in three sets, 25-11, 25-17 and 25-15. Reganne Arnold led with six kills and three aces. Reagan Schouten added three kills and two aces, while Sydney Faber had three aces.
