A two-strike single by sophomore Logan Marshall scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Storm walked off as winners against the Mariners. In a back and forth contest that saw multiple lead changes it was sophomore Regan Andersen and junior Gabby Recio that each hit singles to left field in the final inning to set up Marshall’s heroics. Andersen led Squalicum with two hits and Marshall led with three runs batted in. Lily Rasmussen and Rachel Zender each had a pair of hits for Sehome.

Senior first baseman Riley Anderson had incredible game, as she racked up nine runs batted in while hitting two grand slams. Senior shortstop Haley Saur was 3-for-4 with six runs batted in, and was just a homerun shy of hitting for the cycle as the Lion offense exploded for nine extra base hits. Lynden also got a homerun from Alyvia Miller and multiple hits from Claire DeVries, Emma Ramerman and Saylor Tarrell. Sophomore Grace Potter also picked up two runs batted in.

Despite homeruns by Jayden Loreen and America Oettel, the Cubs were able to come back in the top of the sixth inning, scoring four runs, to take the lead and ultimately win the game. Oettel led the way offensively with a pair of hits and two runs batted in. Loreen also had two RBI’s, and she scored twice, and Lainey Kimball was 1-for-2 with two runs batted in and two runs scored. Jordyn Relethford went the distance in the circle, and struck out six batters.
