Relethford

Pitchers and Catchers: The Pioneers have a lot talent returning at pitcher, and the main one is sophomore Jordyn Relethford. Left-handed senior Jasmin Harmon can also throw, as can junior Destiny Dunlap. They are all more than capable, which is a huge advantage at the 1A level. Sophomore America Oettel is a great catcher with a bright future, and Dunlap is another weapon at catcher.

Dunlap

Infield: Nooksack Valley brings back a lot of experience around the infield. Harmon returns at first base, and Dunlap will mostly play at shortstop, unless she is needed in the circle or behind the plate. Senior Kaity Paz will be at third base, and she brings a lot of experience. Junior Mackenzie Zeilstra can also play multiple positions around the infield.

Loreen

Outfield: Sophomore lefty Jayden Loreen is an extremely talented player that is entrenched in center field. Junior Aubree Bird is another talented player that bats from the left side. The Pioneers will fill the rest of the spots with hungry newcomers that are looking to prove their worth.

Final Analysis: It’s a tremendous program that has reached the state tournament 15 times in the last 20 years. This is Tom Harmon’s 35th year as the head coach, and his team has all of the components to get back to the state tournament once again.
