The Warriors led 36-19 at the half, and went on a 13-3 run in the first quarter to help them get there. As rough as the first half was, the third quarter was even rougher for the purple-cladded Pioneers as Seattle Christian used the entire period as a 23-9 run.

Senior guard Owen Wichers led Nooksack Valley with 11 of his team’s 19 points in the first half, but was held scoreless in the third quarter. He quickly remedied that by scoring the initial four points of the fourth quarter, but the hill would be too steep to climb.

Wichers finished with 17 points to lead his team. He also connected on a pair of three-pointers, as did senior guard Jayden Anderson who scored eight points in the contest.

Senior center Brian Leyerly came off the bench to lead Nooksack Valley with four rebounds, as the Warriors outrebounded the Pioneers 49-22.
