Burlington-Edison 9, Bellingham 1

The Tigers continued their winning ways by defeating the Red Raiders in convincing fashion. Burlington-Edison was able to jump out to a 7-0 lead after two innings, and was able to cruise from there. Lucas Bogaards pitched the final five innings for Bellingham, and he did a great job at getting outs. He only allowed five hits and two runs. Both runs were unearned. Senior center fielder Nathan Pursley was unstoppable at the plate, going 3-for-3. Catcher Nick Posey collected his team’s fourth hit. The Red Raiders (0-2) will attempt to get their first win of the season on Saturday when they host River Ridge (1-0) at Sehome High School.
