Squalicum 62, Ferndale 47

The Storm came into town and had a big advantage in size and depth, especially with the Golden Eagles having to play without senior forward Jillea Fox who suffered a knee injury.
Ferndale needed to rely on the outside shot, and by hitting seven three-pointers the Golden Eagles stayed in the game through three quarters, but Squalicum outlasted them in the fourth, and also went on the attack from beyond the arc to close the game out.
Sophomore guard Kailana Perez led the Storm with 18 points, which included four makes from downtown, to go along with her seven rebounds and three steals.
Junior guard Lexi Robbins added 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists, and junior guard Colee Harper added nine points and eight rebounds.

Squalicum’s size advantage led to a 54-28 rebounding edge, with junior forward Addison Kettman the top board-getter with 11.
Ferndale senior Abbey White led her team with 15 points, as she buried four 3-pointers.
Junior guard Brooklyn Larrabee had 10 points and four assists, and junior forward Kayla Lee finished with nine points, seven rebounds and four steals.

The stifling defense of the Lyncs allowed just one bucket in the entire first half as Lynden Christian grabbed another conference victory, this time on the road.
The Lyncs nabbed 12 steals, with junior Sara VanLoo leading the way with five thefts.
Senior guard Ella Fritts canned home 13 points to lead all players, and she also finished with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Sophomore guard Tyra Dykstra added eight points and a game-high 10 rebounds, while Grace Russell and Jess DeJong each finished with six points.
The Trojans welcomed the arrival of junior forward Lola Gibbs as she hit both of her deep balls, and the Squalicum transfer finished with a team-high eight points.
Sophomore forward Madyn Cline-Malarz added six points and four rebounds for Meridian.

The Lady Blackhawks returned to league play in a successful way on the road as they picked up their ninth win in a row.
Senior forward Ailina Rabang led the way with 23 points, and junior guard Jemma James followed closely behind with 19 points which also included a trio of three-pointers.
Sophomore forward Laraya Dennis came off the bench to score a season-high 12 points, and guards Brianna Metteba and Jordan Reeder scored eight points each.
