Parcher

The Lions charged ahead to gain a 10-point lead after the first quarter, but the Lyncs weren’t going down without a fight. Lynden Christian kept things within arms reach and were only outscored by a combined five points during the second and third quarters.

However, the Lions found their groove again in the final quarter of play and expanded their lead to 20 points, successfully defending their home turf and taking the crosstown rivalry game for the third straight year.

Eshuis

The Lions were led by junior guard Finley Parcher who finished with 20 points, five steals and three assists. Junior guard Lexi Hermanutz connected on a pair of three-balls and finished with 12 points and four steals.

Senior forward Payton Mills added seven points and seven rebounds, and senior forward Rian Stephan blocked three shots.

For the Lyncs, junior center Jocelyn Eshuis lea the way with her 10 points, and senior guard Ella Fritts had nine points, six rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

The overall advantage of the Spartans proved to be too much for the Golden Eagles, as Stanwood was able to outrebound Ferndale 43-25, and the Golden Eagles fell at home in the non-conference matchup.

Senior forward Abbey White came off the bench and led Ferndale with 12 points as she made two of her three shots from downtown, and she also connected on 4-of-6 from the foul line.

Sophomore forward Ari Gilday led with 10 rebounds, while junior guard Brooklyn Larrabee had six assists and senior guard Kayla Washington grabbed three steals.
