The Pioneers led just 36-35 after three quarters of play, but they outscored the Kodiaks 17-8 in the final eight minutes to earn the home win.

Senior guard Payton Bartl scored 10 of her 12 points in the crucial final period of the game. She also finished with five rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Senior center Grace DeHoog finished with 20 points and 17 rebounds to lead Nooksack Valley.

Sophomore guard Lisette Flores drained both of her 3-point shots and finished with seven points, and senior guard Chayleigh Davis had seven points and five assists.

It was still a relatively close game after one quarter, with the Lady Blackhawks up by five points, but they then outscored the Vikings 45-19 over the next two quarters before cruising to the road win.

Junior guard Jemma James had a huge performance as she totaled 20 points, nine steals, eight rebounds and eight assists.

Eighth grade guard Jordan Reeder fired in four 3-pointers and finished with 19 points, five rebounds and five steals, and senior guard Brianna Metteba added 17 points and four assists on 8-of-14 shooting from the field.

Senior forward Laveena LaJuan added eight points, and senior forward Ailina Rabang had a team-high 12 rebounds and six assists.

Soares

The Mountaineers were down by 12 points with two minutes left in the third quarter, but kept clawing away and when junior center Rebeca Soares banked in a runner from short distance with 11 seconds left in the game it gave Mount Baker a one-point lead at 49-48, and it also sent her to the line.

She completed the three-point play, and the Mountie defense was able to hold the Seahawks down for the final seconds to capture the road win.

Soares played every minute of the game and finished with 29 points, 22 rebounds and three blocked shots. She was also 10-of-14 from the field.

Senior forward Reace Brown added six points, four rebounds and a team-high three assists, and sophomore forward Aurora George had seven rebounds and a team-high three steals.

The Lyncs held a 40-29 lead going into the fourth quarter, but the Storm went on a 10-0 run which concluded with a three-pointer from junior guard Lexi Robbins with 4:10 left in the game which cut Lynden Christian’s lead to just one point at 40-39.

A free throw by LC senior Ella Fritts bumped the lead up to 41-39, and sophomore guard Tyra Dykstra made it 43-39 with 1:10 remaining with a 15-foot jump shot.

Squalicum went cold in the final minute, and the Lyncs were able to hold on for the win.

Dykstra led her team with 10 points, and Fritts did a little bit of everything as she finished with nine points, eight rebounds, eight assists, three blocks and two steals.

Kettman

Junior center Jocelyn Eshuis added eight points, six rebounds and two blocks for the Lyncs.

The Storm were led by junior forward Addison Kettman who led her team with eight points and nine rebounds.

Sophomore guard Kailana Perez had seven points and three steals, and juniors Colee Harper and Tiana Thompson each finished with six points.

The Trojans were without two of their three leading scorers, and were unable to finish the job at home against the Red Wolves.

Junior guard Amelia Koning splashed home 3-of-5 from beyond the arc and finished with a team-high 13 points for Meridian.

Kaitlyn Storgaard, Taya Benson, Maddy Swanson and Madyn Cline-Malarz each grabbed eight rebounds to tie for the team lead. Storgaard also had four blocks, Benson had 10 points, while Swanson and Cline-Malarz each had three assists.
