James

The Lady Blackhawks looked like they were on a mission in the first round of the district tournament as they ripped off 34 steals, pulled down 43 rebounds and scored 96 points at home as they took down the Chargers.

Junior guard Jemma James was just two rebounds shy of an unthinkable quadruple-double as she finished with 24 points, 14 steals, 12 assists and eight boards.

Eighth grade guard Jordan Reeder led all scorers with 31 points on 13-of-20 shooting, and she also grabbed 10 rebounds and four steals.

Senior forward Ailina Rabang shrugged off an off-shooting night from the outside as she added 21 points, nine steals, seven rebounds and six assists.

The much taller Lyncs grabbed 30 more rebounds than the Golden Eagles, and Lynden Christian also connected on 63.3% of its shots from the field to run away with the home win.

The Lyncs were also 12-for-21 as a team from three-point land, with sophomore guard Tyra Dykstra splashing home four of them. She led her team with 18 points.

White

Senior guard Ella Fritts neared a triple double with 13 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, and she also connected on 3-of-4 from deep.

Junior guard Grace Russell had 12 points and a team-high three steals, and junior center Jocelyn Eshuis added 12 points and six rebounds.

Ferndale was led by senior forward Abbey White who scored 15 points, and hit a trio of three-pointers.

Sophomore forward Ari Gilday had eight points and seven steals, and junior guard Brooklyn Larrabee handed out five assists.

Bowman

The Cubs went on a 25-5 run in the third quarter, and that put them over the top to defeat the Borderites at home, as Blaine was hampered with 26 turnovers.

Senior forward Aaliyah Bowman led the Borderite charge with 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting, as well as eight rebounds.

Junior guard Kate Koreski chipped in with 11 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Koreski and junior guard Marcella Bring each dished out a team-high four assists.
