The Trojans got off to a fast start by scoring 13 runs in the first inning, and went on to score in every inning that followed before picking up the win over the Bayhawks. Freshman third baseman Tavia Alexander had a memorable varsity debut for Meridian as she went 3-for-3 with two doubles, three runs batted in and four runs scored as she led the offensive attack. Chloe Heinrich also scored four runs, and Piper Ruzicka also knocked in three runs. Rylee Mattingley picked up the win as she allowed four hits and finished with eight strikeouts. Bellingham was led offensively by right fielder Ada Bowen who was 2-for-2 with a run scored. Harjas Grewal also reached base three times and scored a run, and Izzy Rogers had a run batted in.
