Duckworth

The Mariners pulled off a narrow victory at home against an inspired Wildcat team after scoring 23 points in the final quarter of play.

Senior forward Carter Duckworth defended Oak Harbor’s potential game-tying shot in the closing seconds, which was missed and tipped out by senior forward Xavier Kelley to preserve the win.

Kelley finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead Sehome.

Duckworth came off the bench and scored 16 points, which included six points from the charity stripe. Senior guard Nolan Wright added nine points, eight assists, three steals and two blocked shots.

Veldman

The Lyncs were had 12 players in the scoring column as they played a complete game on the road to pick up their 12th win of the season, and their 11th in a row.

Junior forward Kaden Veldman led the charge with 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting, with Gunnar Dykstra and Dawson Hintz close behind with 12 points each. Both junior guards also each made 3-of-7 from three-point land.

Bouma

The aggressive Lynden Christian defense also racked up 24 steals, with Veldman and Dykstra each ripping off four, along with seniors Eli Maberry and Boyce Robertson, and junior Harvest Howell.

The Borderites were led in scoring by seniors Kai Kerwin, Milo Dahl and Landon Melton, who each scored five points apiece.

Junior forward Peyton Bouma pulled down six rebounds, and junior center Gus Dickson nabbed four steals.
