Tanovan

The Mariners were only able to manage two 3-pointers in their last game. They hit five of them in the first quarter to help give them a double-digit lead early on, and they maintained the lead throughout the rest of the game to pick up the road win.

The Pioneers cut it to two points with 6:18 left in the game when Dane Ackerman and Jayden Anderson hit back-to-back three-pointers, but Sehome went on a 15-9 run the rest of the way.

Anderson

Junior guard Quincy Tanovan led the Mariners with 16 points, and he was 3-for-5 from downtown.

Senior forward Xavier Kelley registered another double-double, this time with 15 points and 12 rebounds, and senior guard Nolan Wright added 11 points and five assists.

Anderson led Nooksack Valley with 14 points, and he was 4-of-8 from beyond the arc. Senior guard Owen Wichers finished with 13 points and six rebounds.

Campos

The Wildcats missed a game-tying free throw with less than a second remaining on the clock as the Bayhawks held on for the road victory.

Two months ago, senior Joe Harward broke the Whatcom County high school football record with 20 receptions in a single game against Oak Harbor, and in this contest he went off for 28 points on 11-of-16 shooting.

Junior guard Calvin VanHofwegen finished with 17 points, seven rebounds and a team-high four steals, and senior guard Cyrus Campos had perhaps his best varsity outing with 15 points and a team-high eight assists.

Sophomore guard Emmett VanHouten added 10 points, including a huge 14-foot jumper with less than 20 seconds remaining in the contest.
