Banks

The Vikings came out hot, and doubled up the Borderites after the first quarter. Blaine was forced to play catch-up for the rest of the game, and couldn’t get the job done at home.

It was another extremely balanced attack for the Borderites, as three players led them with 10 points each. Senior guard Daniel Banks had 10 points and five assists, senior forward Landon Melton had 10 points, four assists and four steals and junior forward Peyton Bouma scored 10 points without missing a shot the entire game.

Senior guard Kai Kerwin added eight points and eight boards.

Singh

The Golden Eagles held a 36-33 lead over the Tigers at the half, but Burlington-Edison exploded in the second half to outscore Ferndale by 20 points.

Senior forward Mantaj Singh led the Golden Eagles with 21 points on 9-of-18 shooting, and he also pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.

Sophomore guard Houston Wills scored 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting, and he also made three 3-pointers, while senior forward Kaveer Dhillon finished with nine points, six rebounds and four assists.

Galbraith

The Cougars ripped off 19 steals, made more than half of their three-point attempts, and it made for a tough hill to climb for the Trojans who found themselves down by 14 points after one quarter.

Meridian had some hot-shooting moments as well, which was led by junior guard Gabe Galbraith who buried 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. He finished with a team-high 18 points.

Sophomore guard Emmett Ashmore made 3-of-6 from downtown, and he added 11 points for the visitors.

Senior guard Damion Hayes, and junior guard Trey Alexander each scored seven points, and junior guard Pierce Brzozowski led the Trojans with seven rebounds and seven assists.
