Wills

When Bellingham sophomore guard Emmett VanHouten hit a buzzer-beating baseline jumper at the end of the third quarter, it gave the Bayhawks a 40-39 lead.

For much of the game, the lead changed hands over and over again, but the Golden Eagles hit big shots down the stretch to secure the road win.

One of them was a fadeaway from sophomore guard Houston Wills with 45 seconds left in the game which extended Ferndale’s lead to 52-48. Another was a tip-in by senior forward Mantaj Singh off a missed free throw attempt with 20 seconds left, which pushed the Golden Eagle lead to six points.

Singh finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead Ferndale.

Harward

Sophomore guard Tracen Pazaski added 14 points and five steals, and he also made three 3-point shots. Wills finished with 10 points, and senior guard Cooper Vincent added seven points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.

Bellingham was once again led by senior forward Joe Harward who continued to barrel into the lane like a freight train as he totaled 30 points and 14 boards.

Senior center Barrett Johnson had 10 points and six rebounds, and VanHouten finished with eight rebounds and five assists.

  • Sehome 65, Lakewood 57

Jackson

After the first quarter, it looked like a standard Lakewood game. The Cougars nailed five three-pointers, and were up 15-8. However, the Mariners flipped the script in the second and third quarters by outscoring Lakewood 41-26 in the two periods which helped claim the huge conference win on the road.

A big part of Sehome’s run was the shooting from senior guard Klay Jackson who knocked down four 3-pointers during the game, and he finished with 13 points.

Senior forward Xavier Kelley had another double-double, this time with 22 points and 12 rebounds, to go along with his team-high four steals and three blocks.

Senior forward Carter Duckworth came off the bench to score 15 points and grab six boards, while senior guard Nolan Wright added 10 points and six assists.
