Numerous milestones were hit on Saturday afternoon’s district playoff game at Lummi Nation as the Blackhawks took down the Chargers to go back to the district championship game.

One was that they hit 100 points, which is tough to do when there’s a running clock in the second half. The other two milestones revolved around junior Dyson Edwards, who went off for 40 points, and by doing so, he also surpassed 1,000-points for his career.

The lightning-quick 6-foot-2 guard connected on 17-of-22, including 6-of-10 from three-point land. He also grabbed a team-high 10 steals, one of which led to a breakaway one-handed dunk to end the first quarter.

Senior center Chayce Waite-Kellar added 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting, and senior guard Jerome Toby finished with 16 points and eight assists. Junior guard Landon LaFontaine also dished out eight assists, and junior forward Deandre James led his team with five rebounds.

The Blackhawks will take on Tulalip Heritage at home on Tuesday night at 7:00 for the district championship.
