On a cold, windy afternoon the Bayhawks were able to heat up early as Joe Harward reached on a walk to begin the game, and was able to advance to third base on a single to right field from Alden Scott. Harward then scored on a wild pitch after the next two batters had struck out.
Bellingham struck again in the top of the second when Ben Leonard reached on an error, stole second base, and then scored on another error. Harward then singled to right field and a third error in the inning allowed Beckett Fisher to score, and the Bayhawks were up 3-0 in the top of the second inning.
The Lions got on the board in the bottom of the inning when Joe Bense scored on a ground out to first base from Jax Baar.
A Kai Nelson single in the top of the fifth scored Harward who had singled earlier in the inning, and stole second base.
Nelson also picked up the win on the mound as gave up just two hits, and one run while striking out eight and not allowing a walk in four innings. Eric Helfield got the three-inning save, and didn’t allow a hit.
Lynden used five pitchers in the game, with Gavin Guttormson and Matthew Carroll each recording three strikeouts. Carroll also doubled at the plate.

It was all Tigers last night under the lights as they scored in each of the first four innings before shutting out the Storm in a shortened 5-inning contest.
Squalicum got base hits from shortstop Hudson Johnson, catcher Henry Ingersoll and right fielder Rylan Prince.
Christian Vermeulen struck out three batters in relief for the Storm, and also reached base with a walk.
