Mount Vernon Christian 14, Nooksack Valley 3
Three singles, three walks, three errors and a hit batter turned into eight runs for the Hurricanes before the Pioneers were able to even grab a bat. Nooksack Valley played them relatively close the rest of the way, but was always trying to climb out of that first-inning hole. Evan Brown went 2-for-3 at the plate and scored a run. He also struck out three batters in two innings of relief. Jacob Woodrich had a hit and knocked in a run for the Pioneers.
