FERNDALE 3, OAK HARBOR 0

Solomon

The Golden Eagles were locked in at home as they defeated the Wildcats 25-15, 25-6 and 25-17.

Ferndale was able to empty its bench, as 14 different players took the floor and contributed in the victory.

Junior Brooklyn Larrabee had 30 assists, 12 digs, four kills and four aces as her well-rounded game led the Golden Eagles, and she was joined by senior Katrina Ferry who had 18 digs and seven aces, both of which were team-highs.

Senior Kristen Solomon and junior Svetlana Baydak each had eight kills to lead Ferndale, while senior Jillea Fox and sophomore Adelle Overson had six kills each. Fox also led Ferndale with 2.5 blocks, and Baydak ended with 10 digs and four aces.

 

BLAINE 3, SEDRO-WOOLLEY 2

Ellis

The Cubs took the first set 25-22, and the Borderites won the second set 25-20. The back-and-forth nature of the match continued as Sedro-Woolley won the third set 25-21, and Blaine won 25-14 in set number four.

The Borderites then rode that momentum from the win in set four to cruise to a 15-5 win in the final set.

Junior outside hitter Teia Dube led the way with 19 kills and 20 digs, while senior Ari Johnson also posted a double-double with 15 kills and 14 digs.

Senior Carly Saunders added 10 kills, and led Blaine with five aces and four blocks. Senior Hannah Phelps-McDonald dug out 20, while senior Ainslee Ellis dished out 40 assists to go with her nine digs. Senior Paige Dominick added 10 digs.

 

LYNDEN 3, BELLINGHAM 0

Parcher

The Lions remained undefeated on the season by defeating the Bayhawks 25-16, 25-12 and 25-13.

Junior Finley Parcher had a monster game with 17 kills and 11 digs, with a .469 hitting percentage. It didn’t end there as senior Rian Stephan added nine kills with a .533 hitting percentage, and junior Sarah McVie flew to eight kills and a .462 hitting percentage.

Smith

Sophomore Izzie Stephan‘s 33 assists led to the big numbers, while junior Lexi Hermanutz and senior Campbell DeJong combined for 22 digs.

Bellingham was led by senior Mary Lockhart who finished with five aces, four digs, three kills and a block.

Sophomore Sonoma Smith finished with a team-high five kills, while junior Bailey Burge had 10 digs and junior Lulu Munro had 12 assists.
