NOOKSACK VALLEY 3, LYNDEN CHRISTIAN 2

If you were in the building, you witnessed one of the best atmospheres there has ever been for a volleyball match. Even if you were outside the building within a hundred feet, you could still feel the excitement within the concrete walls.
What took place inside was an extraordinary battle between two rival teams. Both of which had extra exuberant student sections with chants, yells and even performing back flips on the floor in between sets.
The Lyncs outlasted the Pioneers in the first two sets, 28-26 and 27-25, but Nooksack Valley came back to defeat Lynden Christian 25-22, 25-20 and 15-8.

Senior outside hitter Grace DeHoog powered her way towards 28 kills on the night, and she was set up by senior setter Payton Bartl who finished with 46 assists.
Junior Elizabeth DeLange added 17 kills to go with her season-high nine blocks on the evening. Senior Avery Juergens also led her team with 15 digs and four aces.
Lync sophomore Tyra Dykstra had a double-double with 19 kills and 10 digs, and junior Jocelyn Eshuis added 10 kills and three blocks.
Senior setter Ella Fritts totaled 52 assists while also posting five kills, five digs and three blocks. Sophomore Sadie Meyer had nine kills, and junior Sophie Senti added seven kills for Lynden Christian who was without senior outside hitter Etta DeJong.
SQUALICUM 3, ANACORTES 1

The Storm started out strong, and defeated the Seahawks 25-23 and 25-22 to jump out to a two-set lead, but Anacortes came back to take the third set 25-19 before Squalicum rallied to win the fourth set 25-15.
Senior Archer Burns was strong on both sides of the net with eight kills and 1.5 blocks, while senior Jolie Paz finished with a team-high 12 digs.
Juniors Alyssa Roselli and Bronwyn Jones each had nine digs, and Roselli also posted 23 assists and a four aces. Freshman Avery Kettman had team-highs with five aces and two blocks, while junior Tiana Thompson and senior Hannah Warner each had six kills.
SEHOME 3, LAKEWOOD 1

The Mariners cruised to victories in the first two sets, 25-9 and 25-11, but the Cougars regrouped and finished the third set on a 7-2 run to win 28-26. Sehome then dug down deep and pulled out the 25-13 win in the fourth set.
Senior Anya Winter was an attacking force as she finished with 19 kills and a .424 hitting percentage.
Senior Makenna Andrews had 17 digs which led to Anya’s big offensive night, as well did sophomore Taylor Turrell and her 34 assists. Senior Bridgette Adams also had six kills with a .500 hitting percentage.
Junior Paige Flory had nine kills, and senior Hayden Niewiadomski added eight kills, while senior Lily Jude finished with 2.5 blocks.
MERIDIAN 3, MOUNT VERNON 0

Playing their third match in four days, the Trojans continued their hot streak by winning their fourth straight match, this time on the road over the Bulldogs, 25-23, 25-22 and 25-22.
Sophomore outside hitter Melanie Short rattled home 17 kills with a .424 hitting percentage to lead the way offensively.
Senior setter Chloe Bressler finished with 25 assists, and senior Taya Benson led her team with three aces.
BURLINGTON-EDISON 3, MOUNT BAKER 0

The Mountaineers fell on the road 25-7, 25-14 and 25-18, but their improvement throughout the match was evident.
Senior Maddi Lewis had her best overall match of the season as she totaled seven kills and 17 digs. She was aided by senior Kaia Gesmundo who had 13 digs and three kills.
Sophomore Laila Porter had a season-high 15 assists, and senior Kylee Bruland added eight digs.
