SEHOME 3, BELLINGHAM 0

Andrews

The Mariners got off to a hot start and won the first set 25-8 before taking the next two sets 25-12 and 25-20 at home against the Bayhawks.

Junior Paige Flory had another huge performance with 14 kills, eight digs and three aces. She was nearly matched by senior Hayden Niewiadomski who finished with 10 kills, nine digs and two aces.

Burge

Senior Makenna Andrews led her team with 18 digs and six aces, while sophomore Taylor Turrell gave out 28 assists. As a team, Sehome had an amazing .354 hitting percentage.

Bellingham senior Mary Lockhart led her team with four kills to go along with her six digs. Junior Bailey Burge had a team-high eight digs, and junior Lulu Munro had 10 assists.

 

LYNDEN 3, NOOKSACK VALLEY 0

R. Stephan

The Lions remained unbeaten on the season, but it wasn’t easy on the road against the Pioneers, as Lynden won in straight sets 25-17, 25-23 and 25-18.

6-foot-1 senior Rian Stephan showed why she’s committed to the University of Washington volleyball team as she totaled 14 kills, 11 digs and two aces to lead her team to victory.

DeHoog

Junior Finley Parcher had 14 kills, eight digs and two aces, sophomore Izzie Stephan finished with 28 assists, seven digs and two blocks while senior Campbell DeJong and junior Lexi Hermanutz each finished with 13 digs.

Nooksack Valley was led by senior Grace DeHoog who had seven kills and four digs.

She was joined by junior Elizabeth DeLange who had six kills and two blocks, senior Payton Bartl who had 16 assists and three kills, and senior Avery Juergens who led her team with 11 digs.

 

LYNDEN CHRISTIAN 3, BLAINE 0

Parriera

The Lyncs served up an incredible 20 aces, blocked 10 shots, and totaled six players that had at least three kills as the tremendous overall game at home was too much for the Borderites as Lynden Christian won in straight sets, 25-13, 25-12 and 25-17.

Junior Lyla Parriera led her team with six aces and 10 digs, and fellow junior Jocelyn Eshuis finished with 5.5 blocks and three kills.

Johnson

Sophomore Tyra Dykstra led her team with seven kills, while Alli Wright had five kills and three blocks. Senior Ella Fritts added 28 assists, three blocks, seven digs and two aces and junior Sophie Senti had five kills.

Blaine was led by senior Carly Saunders and junior Teia Dube who had five kills each. Saunders also had all four of her team’s aces, and senior Ari Johnson added four kills and four digs.

 

FERNDALE 3, SEDRO-WOOLLEY 0

Larrabee

The Golden Eagles were in control at home the entire match, and ended up winning in three straight sets, 25-12, 25-17 and 25-17.

Junior setter Brooklyn Larrabee filled up the stat sheet once again as she finished with 27 assists, 12 digs, six kills, two aces and a block.

Senior libero Katrina Ferry added 11 digs, while junior Svetlana Baydak had 10 kills and sophomore Adelle Overson was right on her heels with eight kills, to go along with three aces.

 

MERIDIAN 3, MOUNT BAKER 0

Benson

Senior Chloe Bressler served up a whopping nine aces to lead the Trojans to the road win as they took straight sets over the Mountaineers, 25-14, 25-15 and 26-24.

Meridian senior Taya Benson also had a strong showing at the net with her eight kills and two blocked shots, while junior Eden Bernardy totaled seven kills, six aces and five digs.

Sophomore Melanie Short finished with a team-high nine kills.

Nutting

Mount Baker nearly took the third set, and was led by seniors Amariah Nutting, Maddi Lewis and junior Rebeca Soares who each had four kills.

Soares also finished with four blocks, and Nutting led the Mountaineers with six digs, while senior Kaia Gesmundo served up three aces.

 

BURLINGTON-EDISON 3, SQUALICUM 0

Paz

Storm senior Jolie Paz had a double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs, but it wouldn’t be enough as Squalicum fell on the road to the Tigers in straight sets, 25-18, 25-22 and 25-20.

The Storm played strong defense in the backcourt as junior Bronwyn Jones finished with 14 digs, and she was aided by senior Gwen Foy and junior Raegan Wheeler who each had nine digs.

Senior Archer Burns and junior Tiana Thompson each had four kills, while junior setter Alyssa Roselli dished out 20 assists and freshman Avery Kettman had three kills, three aces and a block.
