LYNDEN 3, SQUALICUM 0

The Lions overcame some early communication errors to take down the Storm in straight sets 25-13, 25-21 and 25-18.
Junior outside hitter Finley Parcher smashed 17 kills and coupled it with a .412 hitting percentage to lead the way offensively for Lynden.
Sophomore setter Izzie Stephan served up four aces, and handed out 35 assists, while senior Rian Stephan added 10 kills and game-high four blocks. Junior Lexi Hermanutz led the Lions with 13 digs, while senior Campbell DeJong had 11 digs and Parcher finished with 10

Junior Bronwyn Jones led the Storm defensively with 21 digs, while also delivering four assists when needed.
She was aided in the backcourt by Jolie Paz and Alyssa Roselli who each tallied 10 digs. Paz also had a team-high five kills, and Roselli finished with 13 assists.
Senior middle blocker Archer Burns had a pair of blocks for Squalicum.
BELLINGHAM 3, SEDRO-WOOLLEY 0

The Bayhawks won their home opener after defeating the Cubs 25-19, 25-17 and 25-17, and are now 2-0 to start the season.
Senior Jayda Knutsen led her team with nine kills and five aces, as Bellingham totaled 15 aces on the night.
Senior Mary Lockhart added seven kills, and sophomore Sonoma Smith was right behind her with six kills and four aces. Lockhart and junior Merritt Jensen each had a pair of blocks, junior setter Lulu Munro dished out 19 assists and junior Bailey Burge led the Bayhawks with nine digs.
BLAINE 3, LAKEWOOD 1

The Borderites dropped the first set on the road 25-21, but found some magic in the second set and tied it up with a 25-23 win.
The momentum carried forward as Blaine won the next two sets over the Cougars 25-18 and 25-23, and are now 2-0 on the season.
Junior Teia Dube flew through the air and racked up 23 kills, while also leading her team with four aces and 15 digs.
Senior setter Ainsley Ellis was on point with her 36 assists, and she also dug out 12. Senior libero Hannah Phelps-McDonald totaled 11 digs, and senior Carly Saunders powered her way to seven kills and three blocks. Senior Paige Dominick added six kills and seven digs.
NOOKSACK VALLEY 3, OAK HARBOR 1

The Pioneers dropped the first set on the road 25-22, and quickly found themselves down 9-1 in the second set before righting the ship, and going on a 24-11 run to take the second set 25-20.
A thrilling 26-24 win in the third set by Nooksack Valley gave the Pioneers the edge before taking the fourth set 25-14 against the Wildcats.
Senior outside hitter Grace DeHoog posted 13 kills and 14 digs for Nooksack Valley, and senior Avery Juergens had a team-high 15 digs.
The Pioneers were also strong at the net as junior Elizabeth DeLange had nine kills and four blocks, while senior Annie Stremler finished with seven kills and five blocks.
Senior Payton Bartl dished out 30 assists and led her team with five aces.
