Bressler

The Trojans bounced back after a narrow loss on Tuesday to take three straight sets from the Cubs, 25-19, 25-20 and 25-17.

Senior setter Chloe Bressler ran the offense efficiently as she finished with 29 assists, and with four different players getting at least five kills.

Sophomore Melanie Short led her team with 12 kills, seven digs and four aces, and junior Eden Bernardy had eight kills and four digs.

Senior Kinsley Neal added six digs, and junior Amelia Koning had five kills and two aces.

 

LYNDEN 3, MOUNT VERNON 0

R. Stephan

Senior Rian Stephan finished with eight kills, while also adding a team-high four aces and two blocks as the Lions took down the Bulldogs 25-5, 25-15 and 25-17.

Junior Finley Parcher had a double-double with 11 kills and 12 digs, while senior Campbell DeJong patrolled the back court to the tune of 19 digs.

Sophomore Izzie Stephan had 26 assists to go with her four digs and three kills.

FERNDALE 3, ANACORTES 1

Overson

The Seahawks took the first set at home, but a wild second set that ended with the Golden Eagles winning 26-24 led to the momentum swing that saw Ferndale take the next two sets 25-17 and 25-16.

Senior libero Katrina Ferry flew around the court once again to collect 25 digs, while also posting three aces, and junior Brooklyn Larrabee added 32 assists, 11 digs, seven kills, five aces and 1.5 blocks.

Sophomore Adelle Overson led the Golden Eagles with 10 kills, and junior Svetlana Baydak totaled eight kills, seven digs and six aces.

 

NOOKSACK VALLEY 3, MOUNT BAKER 1

DeHoog

The Pioneers continued their hot streak as they defeated the Mountaineers on the road 25-16, 25-10 and 25-14.

Senior Grace DeHoog led the offensive attack with 18 kills and two aces, and junior Elizabeth DeLange patrolled the middle with 14 kills and two blocks.

Bruland

Senior Payton Bartl dished out 36 assists, while senior Gracie Rutgers had a team-high seven digs and senior Avery Juergens finished with a team-high four aces.

Mount Baker was led by senior Kaia Gesmundo who finished with six kills and nine digs, and she was joined by senior Kylee Bruland who also picked up nine digs.

Senior Maddi Lewis added 11 assists, six digs, three aces and two kills.

 

BURLINGTON-EDISON 3, BLAINE 0

Dube

The Tigers won the first set 25-12, but the Borderites made it extremely tough in the second set before Burlington-Edison squeezed out the 29-27 win before taking the third, and final, set 25-18.

Blaine was led by junior Teia Dube who had six kills and 13 digs, as well as senior Carly Saunders who finished with six kills, three digs and three blocks.

Senior Hannah Phelps-McDonald had a team-high three aces to go with her 12 digs, senior Paige Dominick added 11 digs, and senior Ainslee Ellis had 11 assists and nine digs.
