LYNDEN 3, FERNDALE 2

In a wild battle that saw the momentum swing at its highest in both directions, the Lions outlasted the Golden Eagles at home.
It was all Lynden early on, as the top-ranked 2A team won with a commanding score of 25-4. Ferndale came back to win the second set 25-19, but the Lions clawed back to win the third set 25-8.
The Golden Eagles wouldn’t be denied in the fourth set, and won 29-27 before falling in the fifth set 15-12.

Lynden junior Finley Parcher put up video game-like numbers as she totaled 33 kills and 21 digs, while senior Rian Stephan finished with 18 kills, 12 digs and six blocks.
Senior Campbell DeJong led with 27 digs,, and junior Lexi Hermanutz had a team-high four aces to go with her 17 digs and five kills. Sophomore Izzie Stephan dished out a season-high 53 assists.
Ferndale junior Brooklyn Larrabee combatted with 29 digs, 33 assists and three aces. Senior Katrina Ferry added 21 digs, and senior Caitlyn Berg dug out 12.
Sophomore Svetlana Baydak finished with a double-double of 16 kills and 15 digs.
SEHOME 3, BLAINE 0

The Mariners defeated an inspired Borderite squad on the road 25-23 in the first set before settling in and winning the next two sets 25-12 and 25-18.
The overall game of junior Paige Flory was on display as she finished with 13 kills and nine digs. She also posted an incredible 11 aces from the service line.

Senior Makenna Andrews had a team-high 15 digs, and sophomore Taylor Turrell dished out 27 assists. Senior Anya Winter came through with nine kills and 2.5 blocks.
Blaine was led by junior Teia Dube who had a double-double with 16 kills and 14 digs.
Senior Paige Dominick also registered 14 digs, while senior Ari Johnson posted eight kills and eight digs against her former squad and senior Ainslee Ellis had 29 assists.
NOOKSACK VALLEY 3, ANACORTES 0

The Pioneers kept their winning streak alive by downing the Seahawks 25-22, 26-24 and 25-19.
Junior Elizabeth DeLange led with nine kills and six blocks, while senior Payton Bartl gave out 24 assists.
Senior Gracie Rutgers served up a whopping seven aces to go with her six kills, and senior Grace DeHoog added seven kills. Senior Avery Juergens led with nine digs, and she was followed closely by junior Karson Olney who finished with six digs.
OAK HARBOR 3, MOUNT BAKER 0

Even though the Wildcats won in straight sets, the visiting Mountaineers didn’t make it easy as Oak Harbor won 26-24, 25-19 and 28-26.
Junior Rebeca Soares led Mount Baker with six kills and six blocks, while sophomore Laila Porter led her team with seven digs and three aces.
Junior Emma Richardson served up a pair of aces, while senior Maddi Lewis had eight assists and four digs.
BURLINGTON-EDISON 3, BELLINGHAM 0
The Tigers won in straight sets on the road over the Bayhawks.
