BLAINE 3, MOUNT BAKER 0

It would be the final match for one of these two teams, as the two battled hard and the Borderites came out as the victors after winning 26-24, 25-20 and 28-26.
Junior outside hitter Teia Dube led Blaine with 13 kills and 20 digs, and senior Carly Saunders was also strong at the net with eight kills and three blocks.

The Borderites were also a weapon from the service line as they compiled 11 aces as a team, with senior Ari Johnson leading the way with four, and senior Ainslee Ellis added 36 assists.
The Mountaineers were led by junior Rebeca Soares who finished with five kills and five blocks.
Senior Reace Brown also had five kills, and senior Maddi Lewis added 14 assists as she and fellow senior Kaia Gesmundo each finished with four kills and seven digs.
With the loss, Mount Baker’s season came to a close, while Blaine moved on to play Nooksack Valley later that evening.
LYNDEN CHRISTIAN 3, MERIDIAN 0

The Lyncs were able to complete the sweep that eluded them in the regular season against the Trojans, as the won 26-24, 25-20 and 25-10.
Lynden Christian executed its match plan to perfection and it was led by senior Ella Fritts who totaled 37 assists, seven digs, six aces and 1.5 blocks.
Sophomore Tyra Dykstra was the main beneficiary of Fritts’ passes as she rose above for 13 kills to go with her pair of aces. Junior Jocelyn Eshuis added nine kills and a team-high 3.5 blocks.
Junior Lyla Parriera had her own team-highs with 12 digs and four aces, and senior Etta DeJong had six kills and two blocks.

Meridian was led by sophomore Melanie Short who finished with 15 kills and seven digs.
Senior Kinsley Neal also had seven digs to go along with her team-high three aces, and senior Gracie Pap had a game-high four blocks.
Senior Chloe Bressler dished out 18 assists, and junior Eden Bernardy finished with six kills and four digs.
The Lyncs will face Nooksack Valley at 7:30 on Tuesday at Meridian High School for the district championship, and the Trojans will try to keep their season alive as they will take on Blaine at 5:30 on Tuesday at Meridian High School in a loser-out contest.
NOOKSACK VALLEY 3, BLAINE 0

The Borderites put up a fight, and did better in each set, but fell short against the Pioneers 25-14, 25-19 and 25-21.
Senior Grace DeHoog did her usual damage at the net with 13 kills, and she was closely followed by junior Elizabeth DeLange who ended with 11 kills.
DeLange, junior Raegan Burke and senior Annie Stremler each had a pair of blocks, and senior Avery Juergens finished with four aces.

Senior Gracie Rutgers had a team-high 11 digs, and senior Payton Bartl added 30 assists, four digs, two aces and two kills.
Blaine was led by senior Ari Johnson who finished with seven kills and a team-high 13 digs.
Senior Carly Saunders led her team with three aces and two blocks, and junior Teia Dube added a team-high nine kills while senior Ainslee Ellis finished with 18 assists.
Nooksack Valley will face Lynden Christian at 7:30 on Tuesday at Meridian High School for the district championship, and the Borderites will try to keep their season alive as they will take on Meridian at 5:30 on Tuesday at Meridian High School in a loser-out contest.
SEHOME 3, BELLINGHAM 0

The Mariners took down the crosstown Bayhawks 25-14, 25-8 and 25-16 in the first round of the district playoffs.
Senior Hayden Niewiadomski had a big day with 14 kills, 10 digs, two aces and two blocks as she led Sehome to the win.
Senior Anya Winter added six kills and a team-high six aces, and senior Makenna Andrews flew around the court to pick up 14 digs.
Sophomore Taylor Turrell had 29 assists, and senior Lily Jude added five kills, including the game winner, against her old squad.
Statistics for Bellingham have yet to be received, but will be added to the stat leaders once they are received.
The Bayhawks will try to keep their season afloat as they take on Anacortes on Monday, and the Mariners will battle Archbishop Murphy for a spot in the district championship match, and a ticket to the state tournament. Both games will be at 5:30 at Meridian High School.
LYNDEN 3, LAKEWOOD 0

The undefeated Lions moved one step closer to their ultimate goal by defeating the Cougars in straight sets, 25-10, 25-12 and 25-12 in the first round of the 2A district tournament.
Junior Finley Parcher racked up 16 kills (with an astonishing .667 hitting percentage) and 11 digs to help lead Lynden to victory at home.
Senior Rian Stephan finished with seven kills, six digs and three blocks, and senior libero Campbell DeJong led her team with 16 digs.
Junior Lexi Hermanutz had five kills, three aces and four digs, while sophomore Hadley Lamp had three aces and sophomore Izzie Stephan posted 32 assists and nine digs.
The top-ranked Lions will move on to face Burlington-Edison at 7:30 on Monday at Meridian High School.
BURLINGTON-EDISON 3, SQUALICUM 0

The Storm got off to a great start, and nearly took the opening set, but the Tigers clawed back to take it 25-23.
Burlington-Edison then claimed the next two sets at home, 25-16 and 25-19.
Junior libero Bronwyn Jones had an impressive 23 digs to help keep her team alive throughout the night, and junior Alyssa Roselli finished with 18 assists.
Senior Jolie Paz led her team with seven kills and two aces, and juniors Penelope Durias and Tiana Thompson each had four kills.
Squalicum will try to avoid elimination on Monday at 7:30 at they will battle Lakewood at Meridian High School.
