FERNDALE 3, SEHOME 2

This one had to go five sets, right? About as evenly matched as it gets, as these two powerhouse teams battled for over two hours for every single point.
The Mariners took the first set 25-20, and the Golden Eagles tied it up in the second set by winning 25-23. Sehome then won 25-21 before Ferndale won the final two sets 25-23 and 15-10.
Junior Svetlana Baydak‘s final kill of the night was the nail in the coffin as she finished with a game-high 19 kills to go with her 17 kills and three aces.

Senior Katrina Ferry finished with 28 digs, and senior Caitlyn Berg patrolled the back line to pick up 16 digs. Sophomore Adelle Overson added 12 kills, seven digs and two blocks while junior Brooklyn Larrabee had 44 assists, 16 digs, nine kills and three aces.
Sehome was led by senior Makenna Andrews who finished with 27 digs. Junior Paige Flory had a double-double with 11 kills and 17 digs to go along with four aces.
Senior Hayden Niewiadomski had a game-high six aces to go with 15 digs and 2.5 blocks, and senior Lily Jude finished with 10 kills and 3.5 blocks.
MERIDIAN 3, BELLINGHAM 0

The Trojans remained locked in on the season after sweeping the Bayhawks 25-17, 25-21 and 25-20.
Sophomore Melanie Short had 11 kills, seven digs and four aces to lead Meridian, and senior Gracie Pap added eight kills.

Senior Taya Benson finished with seven kills and two blocks, while junior Eden Bernardy totaled six kills, seven digs and four aces.
Bellingham sophomore Sonoma Smith had a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs, and senior Mary Lockhart finished with three kills, 15 digs and three aces.
NOOKSACK VALLEY 3, BURLINGTON-EDISON 1

After dropping the first set 25-20, the Pioneers climbed back to win the next three sets 25-19, 25-16 and 25-22 over a very talented Tiger team at home, despite being without senior starter Gracie Rutgers who was out sick.
Senior Payton Bartl served up seven aces to go with her 38 assists and five digs to lead Nooksack Valley to the hard-fought win.
Junior Elizabeth DeLange had 16 kills and four blocks, while senior Grace DeHoog finished with 11 kills and 12 digs. Senior libero Avery Juergens had a team-high 21 digs, and freshman Kendall Juergens pitched in with 11 digs and two aces.
MOUNT VERNON 3, BLAINE 2

The Borderites nearly completed the comeback at home against the 3A Bulldogs, but fell just short in the fifth set 16-14.
After dropping the first set 25-21, Blaine came back to win the second 25-20. Mount Vernon won set number three 25-16, and the Borderites electrified the home crowd with a 26-24 win in the the fourth set before falling in the final set.
Blaine was down 14-9 in the final set, and went on a 5-0 run to tie it up, but Mount Vernon was able to close the door when it was needed the most.
Junior Teia Dube led the way with 16 kills and 34 digs, while senior Carly Saunders had one of her most complete games with nine kills, 20 digs, five aces and three blocks.
Senior setter Ainslee Ellis set up the offense with 37 assists.
SEDRO-WOOLLEY 3, MOUNT BAKER 1

The Cubs won the first two sets 25-11 and 25-17, but the Mountaineers came out strong in the third set and won 25-18 on a kills from senior Reace Brown.
Sedro-Woolley was able to right the ship and take the fourth set 25-22.
Brown finished with a team-high six kills, and junior Rebeca Soares followed closely with five.
Junior Emma Richardson had a team-high six aces, while senior Kaia Gesmundo led with 13 digs, and senior Maddi Lewis added 14 assists, five digs, three aces, two kills and a block.
OAK HARBOR 3, SQUALICUM 1

The Storm came out and won the first set 25-21, but dropped the next set on the road to the Wildcats 25-15.
The third set was back and forth, with Oak Harbor leading 24-18 at one point, but Squalicum went on a 7-0 run with senior Jolie Paz at the service line, as she had a pair of aces, and the Storm was back in it with a 25-24 lead. However, the Wildcats finished the set on a 5-2 run to take it 29-27 and then took the fourth 25-20.
Paz finished with seven kills, 13 digs four aces and two blocks.
Junior Bronwyn Jones led the defense with 19 digs, and junior Alyssa Roselli set the table with 19 assists.
Junior Penelope Durias and senior Archer Burns each added five kills and three digs a piece, and senior Gwen Foy totaled eight digs and a pair of aces.
