MOUNT BAKER 3, LAKEWOOD 1

The Mountaineers started out a little flat, and dropped the first set 25-12 to the visiting Cougars, but they won an emotion-filled second set 27-25 to even the score.
Mount Baker was then on the right track and went on to win the next two sets 25-16 and 25-20 for the first conference win on of the season.
Junior Rebeca Soares led the Mounties with 13 kills and three blocks, while senior Reace Brown had 11 kills and junior Violet Fox added nine kills.
Senior Kaia Gesmundo led Baker with 21 digs, and junior Emma Richardson had a team-high four aces while senior Kylee Bruland ended with 12 digs.
Maddi Lewis put up a new career-high in assists with 31 while also posting 14 digs and three kills.
BELLINGHAM 3, MOUNT VERNON 1

The Bayhawks took the first set on the road 25-23 before falling 25-16 in the second set. Bellingham regrouped to win the next two sets 25-14 and 25-23 to move above .500 on the season.
Sophomore Sonoma Smith finished with a double-double as she had 14 kills and 17 digs, while she and senior Jayda Knutsen each had a team-high two aces. Knutsen also was all over the court with five kills, 14 digs and a block.
Junior Bailey Burge and senior Olivia Siemanowski led the defense with Burge totaling 20 digs and Siemanowski collecting 2.5 blocks. Junior Lulu Munro dished out 27 assists.
FERNDALE 3, BLAINE 0

The Golden Eagles got the sweep at home, although the Borderites didn’t make it easy, as Ferndale won 25-16, 25-20 and 25-23.
Junior Brooklyn Larrabee handed out 26 assists, with three players getting at least six kills, while she also finished six kills herself along with a team-high four aces.
Junior Svetlana Baydak led with 12 kills and she also finished with seven digs. Senior Katrina Ferry had a team-high 15 digs, with senior Caitlyn Berg right behind her with 12 digs.

Senior Jillea Fox and sophomore Adelle Overson each had six kills.
Blaine was led by junior Teia Dube who had 11 kills, seven digs and two aces.
Senior Paige Dominick had a team-high 14 digs, and she was followed closely by seniors Ari Johnson (13 digs) and Hannah Phelps-McDonald (12 digs).
Senior Carly Saunders led with three blocks and Ainslee Ellis had 18 assists and eight digs.
