The Mariners handed the Lions their second loss of the season, as Sehome stood strong at home.

Senior Ryan Boehm scored her Whatcom County-leading 17th goal of the season, and she was joined in the scoring column by juniors Kylie Ivcevic and Vivian Moss, as well as sophomore Briley Valliant.

The Storm kept their hot streak alive at home by shutting out the visiting Cougars behind a pair of goals from senior Ava Simons.

Squalicum also received goals from senior Ania Stawicki and junior Keira Cox.

 

  • Lynden Christian 2, Ferndale 1

The Golden Eagles scored first, about halfway through the first half, when junior Josie McClellan put the ball into the net, but the Lyncs responded quickly with a goal of their own.

LC took the lead later in the second half to secure the big home win. Goals came from senior Kayla Yun and junior Nayla Speer. Both were assisted by Alexi Yun.

After picking up two wins last week, the Pioneers were unable to beat the Bulldogs on the road.
