The Lyncs exploded for four goals in the first nine minutes of action, and they never got complacent as they picked up the strong victory in the first round of the state tournament.
Sophomore Kaelyn Hinton scored the first two goals of the game, and finished four on the day. Senior Kayla Yun scored the third goal, and she ended up with a hat trick.
Lynden Christian also got a goal from junior Nayla Speer, and will face third-ranked Bear Creek this weekend. The exact date and time are yet to be determined.

The Borderites made the state tournament for the first time in over 20 years, and then was met with the top-ranked team in the state as the Eagles put it on Blaine.
Junior Kaitlyn Ritter Von Trautmann scored Blaine’s lone goal on a 40-yard free kick. Cedar Park Christian’s defense didn’t allow another shot on goal, and lived on the Borderite side of the field.
Blaine’s season came to an end.
