The Mariners clinched the Northwest Conference Championship by grabbing three first half goals, and holding on for the road victory over the Storm.
An early cross from senior Keira Reeves resulted in a goal from freshman Surin Connell.
Senior Ryan Boehm then scored her Whatcom County leading 19th goal of the season on an assists from junior Kate Schroeder.
The third goal came shortly thereafter when Boehm created chaos in the box, and the ball was deflected off a Squalicum player and into the net.
Kaila Reeves and Schroeder also shared time in the net, preserving another clean sheet, while they also got strong play in front of them from junior Macy Alexander and sophomore Maya Jorgenson.

Lynden Christian 5, Burlington-Edison 2
The Lyncs closed out their regular season with a strong win at home against the Tigers.
Junior Nayla Speer directed the traffic, and assisted on four of LC’s five goals.
Senior Kayla Yun scored twice, which gives her a team-high 15 goals on the season, and Lynden Christian also received goals from senior Estela Segel, junior Hattie Hendricks and sophomore Kaelyn Hinton.
Sophomore Caitlin Kok also assisted on a goal.

Ferndale 4, Lakewood 0
The Golden Eagles picked up their second win of the week with a shutout over the Cougars.
Senior Hannah Waslohn scored twice to lead Ferndale, which also received goals from senior Chantal Bobadilla and freshman Hannah Huynh.

Bellingham 4, Blaine 0
The Bayhawks continued their hot streak on their way to postseason play as they won their fifth straight game, and did it with a shutout over the Borderites.
Sophia Dionne and Lucy Plenkovich each scored a pair of goals in the home finale.

Lynden 1, Oak Harbor 1
The Wildcats scored their goal about halfway through the first quarter, and it was answered by Lion senior Blaine Holman about 10 minutes later.
They were the only two goals scored in the contest, and it was Holman’s seventh goal of the season.

1A teams get shut out
The Mountaineers, Pioneers and Trojans were all shut out on Thursday, but will all get a chance to compete in the 1A district tournament coming up next week in Blaine.
