If you’ve ever met Borderite juniors Kate Koreski and Marcella Bring, there is one thing that stands out. They are both ultra competitive.
This three-sport athlete duo refused to lose earlier in the week in an elimination game against Meridian, which Blaine won 1-0. And, in this winner-to-state/loser-out contest, they came through again to pick up the win.
Koreski scored all three goals in the two elimination games, and Bring was in the net for both and didn’t allow a single goal.
The Borderites will join Lynden Christian in the 1A state soccer playoffs, and will find out their opponent later today.
