Less than two minutes into the game, the Borderites held a 6-2 lead behind three-pointers from junior Marcella Bring and senior Brietta Sandell, but the rest of the first half belonged to the Grizzlies who then went on a 25-1 run for the rest of the first half.

That proved to be the difference in the game, as Blaine outscored Bear Creek 32-31 in the second half.

Junior guard Kate Koreski had 12 points, four assists and four steals, all of which led the Borderites. Senior forward Aaliyah Bowman had a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds, and Sandell finished with 11 points, eight boards and three assists.
