The Blackhawks played their patented pressure defense, and it led to a 56-4 advantage by halftime. With a continuous clock in the second half, Lummi Nation was still able to get every player into the scoring column in the home win.

Junior guard Jemma James had a team-high 20 points in 8-of-13 shooting, as well as five steals and four assists.

Senior forward Ailina Rabang did a little bit of everything as she finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and nine steals, and eighth-grader Jordan Reeder knocked down a trio of three-pointers on her way to 18 points.

When Tyra Dykstra hit an elbow three just before the buzzer rang at the end of the first quarter, she must have felt pretty good about her shot.

The sophomore guard went on to hit four more deep balls throughout the game, and finished with a team-high 23 points, to help lead the Lyncs to the home victory.

Senior guard Ella Fritts finished with 16 points and five boards, and junior guard Grace Russell added nine points.

Senior forward Sara VanLoo pulled down a team-high seven rebounds, while junior guard Ellie Pierce dished out six assists and junior forward Jocelyn Eshuis blocked three shots.

There were absolutely no first-game jitters for the two-time defending state champion Lions as they went on the road and took care of business.

Junior guard Finley Parcher missed just one of her 12 attempts from the floor as she finished with 27 points, eight rebounds and five steals. Also, when she drove baseline to score her second shot of the second quarter, it put her over 1,000 points in her career.

Senior forward Payton Mills added 15 points on 7-of-14 shooting, sophomore guard Izzie Stephan came off the bench to secure eight rebounds. and senior forward Rian Stephan led her team with five assists.

Fox

The two squads played to a 16-16 tie after one quarter, and it remained tied 25-25 at the half, but the Golden Eagles ripped off 26 points in the third quarter before taking the road win.

Senior forward Jillea Fox led the way with 17 points, 11 of which came in the second half, and sophomore forward Ari Gilday came off the bench to score 13 points.

Junior guard Brooklyn Larrabee scored eight of her 12 points in the crucial third quarter, while senior Abbey White and junior Kayla Lee finished with nine points each.

Barge

It was a tall task for the Mariners, as the Spartans came to town as one of the best 3A teams in the state.

The Stanwood defense collectively totaled 14 steals and five blocks, which helped lead them to victory.

Sophomore guard Taylor Turrell hit five of her nine field goal attempts to lead Sehome in scoring with 10 points, and junior forward Kate Schroeder chipped in with eight points.

Senior forward Lily Jude led her team with five rebounds, and senior center Aspen Barge collected a team-high four steals to go with her nine points.
