Squalicum 50, Burlington-Edison 31

The Storm defense came out swarming, which allowed their team to be up 14-4 after one quarter of play. But, when the fans looked up at the scoreboard at halftime and noticed that the Tigers were still stuck on four total points, while Squalicum was at 33, it really stamped home what this defense can do.
Junior guard Colee Harper led the defense with nine steals to go with her eight points, while junior point guard Lexi Robbins added four steals, four assists and 12 points.
Freshman forward Avery Kettman continued to grow in her role on the varsity squad, and she came off the bench and led the team with 24 points on 10-of-17 shooting. She also grabbed seven rebounds.
Junior forward Addison Kettman added a team-high nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks.

Mount Baker 58, Sedro-Woolley 51

Over the past two seasons, the Cubs have defeated the Mountaineers by at least 20 points each time. And, after one quarter of play which saw Sedro-Woolley hold a 19-6 lead, it looked like it was headed in that same direction.
Mount Baker was able to outscore the Cubs 13-10 in the second, and then take the lead in the third quarter after going on a 20-6 run before capturing the win in its home debut.
Junior forward Rebeca Soares had the biggest game of her stellar varsity career as she had a triple-double with 33 points, 21 rebounds and 10 blocks.
Junior guard Violet Fox also had a big game with 12 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals, and senior forward Reace Brown added six points, five rebounds and three assists.

Sehome 46, Meridian 30

Offense was hard to come by in the first half as the Mariners held a slight 13-11 lead at the midway break, but they made some adjustments and went on a 15-4 run in the third quarter before taking the road win.
Sehome sophomore guard Taylor Turrell led all players with 15 points on 7-of-15 shooting, and senior guard Gwen Gates came off the bench and knocked down four 3-pointers for 12 points.

Junior guard Sadie Gustafson added eight points and four steals, and senior center Aspen Barge locked down the paint with six rebounds and three blocks for the Mariners who were able to win despite shooting just 1-of-11 from the foul line as a team.
The Trojans were led by junior forward Kaitlyn Storgaard who finished with nine points and eight rebounds.
Senior center Taya Benson added eight points and four boards, and junior forward Eden Bernardy stuffed the stat sheet with six points, six rebounds, six steals and four assists.
