The Bayhawks flew out to a 37-10 lead at the half before finishing the job for their second win in as many games to begin the season.

Junior forward Merritt Jensen had 19 points, eight rebounds and four steals as she guided Bellingham to the victory.

Sophomore guard Elise Holland finished with 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting, as well as five assists, four rebounds and four steals.

A barrage of three pointers in the final minutes of the game brought the Blackhawks within one point, but the Hurricanes held on at the end to pick up the home win.

Eighth grade guard Jordan Reeder led Lummi Nation with 17 points and three steals, as she and junior guard Jemma James knocked down multiple shots from downtown to keep their team in the game.

James finished with 15 points and six rebounds.

Senior forward Ailina Rabang added 12 points, five rebounds and four assists.
