Sehome 55, Ferndale 46

The Mariners had a slow start and fell to a 10-point deficit early, but they found their groove in the second quarter. Sehome up 19 points in the quarter while only allowing five to the Golden Eagles.

The charge was led by the 11 points of junior forward Kate Schroeder. She finished the game with a team-high 15 points.
Ferndale wasn’t going down without a fight and continued to pull back to within a few points throughout the second half. They had their highest scoring quarter in the third behind the seven points of senior Abbey White. White finished with a team-leading 14 points.
However, the Mariners still managed to outscore them in the third and fourth quarters, 18-16 and 14-11, to hold on to the lead and grab the win.

Meridian 29, Friday Harbor 17

The Trojans got off to a hot start, and led by double digits after one quarter of play, and then played the Wolverines relatively even the rest of the way to get the road win.
Junior forward Eden Bernardy led Meridian with seven points, while also grabbing six rebounds and two steals.
Sophomore Madyn Cline-Malarz and junior Kaitlyn Storgaard each nabbed seven rebounds to tie for the team lead, and Storgaard also blocked a pair of shots.
The Trojans also got after it on defense, and finished with 23 steals, with junior Amelia Koning leading the way with six.

The Lyncs used a strong first quarter, and and even stronger third quarter to win their second game in as many nights at home.
Senior guard Ella Fritts led the way once again, this time with 21 points (on 9-of-16 shooting), seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Sophomore guard Tyra Dykstra shook off an off-shooting night from the game before to drill home three of her seven three-point attempts as she ended the night with 19 points.
Junior forward Jocelyn Eshuis pulled down a team-high 12 rebounds, and freshman forward Jess DeJong added 10 points and eight rebounds.

It was all Pioneers in the season opener as senior center Grace DeHoog neared a triple double with 10 points, 15 rebounds and seven steals.
Senior guard Payton Bartl scored a team-highs with 12 points and four assists to go along with her four steals and four rebounds, and senior guard Chayleigh Davis was right behind her with 11 points, three assists and three steals.
Junior forward Raegan Burke added seven points and three steals.

After a tightly contested first half, in which the Borderites trailed by just two points, the Braves came out on fire in the second half and ran away with the road win.
Senior forward Aaliyah Bowman worked hard down low to finish with 12 points and eight rebounds.
Junior forward Kate Koreski pulled down a team-high 10 boards to go with her six points, while seniors Brietta Sandell and Bea Dickson each added three points.
