Lynden 79, Lakewood 23

Tough defense transitioned into efficient offense. It’s been the Lion way for a while now, and it continued at home against the Cougars.
Lynden forced 22 turnovers, and capitalized on them to jump out early, and stay ahead.
Junior guard Finley Parcher finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds, seven steals and six assists, all of which led the Lions.
Senior guard Degitu Bowler came off the bench to 3-of-4 from the three-point line as she ended her night with a season-high 15 points.
Senior forward Payton Mills had 10 points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists, junior guard Lexi Hermanutz finished with nine points, six rebounds, three assists and three blocks, and senior forward Rian Stephan added eight points and six rebounds.

Bellingham 50, Oak Harbor 46 (OT)

The Wildcats held a 38-31 lead in the fourth quarter, but the Bayhawks went on a 7-0 run to tie the game up at 38-38 with a little less than 2:30 to go in the game.
Junior forward Merritt Jensen banked in a left-handed runner with 15 seconds left to tie the game at 40-40, and send it into overtime where senior center Mary Lockhart hit back-to-back shots from close range to help give Bellingham the edge that was needed in the extra period to come out victorious.
Lockhart finished the game with 15 points, seven rebounds and five steals, while Jensen added 12 points, eight rebounds and three steals.
Sophomore guard Lucy Holland scored 13 points, while her sister Elise Holland added five rebounds, four steals and three assists and seniors Ashley Ask and Isabelle Rogers each came off the bench to hit a three-pointer.
