Lynden Christian 9, Ferndale 1

The Lyncs ripped off four runs in the bottom of the first, and five more in the bottom of the fifth as they pulled off the home win against the Golden Eagles. Sophomore Roxanne Lenning hit two doubles and drove in four runs to power the Lynden Christian offense, which also got triples from Taya Vander Kooi and Brooke VanLoo. Senior pitcher Kassidy VanSoest had a memorable final game at her home park as she struck out six batters in the complete game victory. Ferndale scored in the top of the second when Kate Johnston hit a sacrifice fly to center field which scored Amaya Chervenock.

Lynden 17, Sehome 1

The Lions scored multiple runs in every inning as they cruised to the victory on the road. Senior shortstop Melanie Anderson was a homerun shy of hitting for the cycle while she also scored three runs and drove in two more. Sarah McVie also went 3-for-4 with three runs batted in and three runs scored, while Rebecca Powell also drove in three runs. Sophomore pitcher Callie Ramerman struck out 13 batters in the win, and by doing so she broke the school record for strikeouts in a season, as she now sits at 169. The Mariners got a hit from Radler Rosellison, and Sarah Kruzich struck out eight batters in nearly five innings of work.

Mount Vernon 9, Nooksack Valley 6

The Pioneers took an early lead in the first, and re-took it in the top of the third, but the Bulldogs answered with six runs in the bottom of the third and never looked back after that. Shelby Mason had three hits including a triple and a homerun, and Alayna Dykstra had two doubles and a single as they led the Nooksack Valley offense. The Pioneers also got a pair of hits from Kenize Likkel and Gracie Rutgers.

Anacortes 12, Blaine 2

The Borderites scored in first, but the Seahawks rattled off 11 runs in the bottom of the first to break the game wide open. Mesa Puls doubled, tripled and scored a run to lead Blaine, who also got hits from Courtney Roff, Shaylie Daniels, Brie Smith and Jovi Colacurcio.

Oak Harbor 10, Meridian 0

Trojan freshman Addy TenKley had the lone hit and also struck out two batters, but it wouldn’t be enough as Meridian fell at home against the Wildcats.

Lakewood 17, Squalicum 5

The Storm hung with the Cougars through three innings, but Lakewood jumped out ahead by 11 runs in the top of the fourth before taking the road victory. Squalicum catcher Addy Hauber singled, tripled and drove in three runs to lead the offense. Gabi Gearhart also had a pair of hits, and stole two bases for the Storm.
