It was all Golden Eagles on senior day as Kaelin Blakley was 2-for-2 with a homerun and five runs batted in to lead her team to victory. Maddy Slevin was 3-for-4 from the leadoff spot, while she, Hannah Swan and Celisse Castleberry each scored three runs. Charlotte Simon went the distance in the circle and struck out three batters. Mariner junior Sarah Kruzich was 2-for-3 with a run batted in, and she also struck out three batters over three innings of work.

It was the complete game for the Lions who scored in every inning, had dominant pitching and didn’t commit an error in the field. Emily McVie enjoyed perhaps her best varsity performance as she went 4-for-4 with two doubles, five runs batted in and two runs scored. Callie Ramerman struck out 11 batters over five innings, while Melanie Anderson and Sarah McVie each scored three runs.

Senior pitcher Kassidy VanSoest got the complete game win, and also had four hits and drove four batters in to help her team pick up the road win. Sophomore shortstop Kortnee Tolsma also had three hits and two runs scored for the Lyncs, while Roxanne Lenning and Sara VanLoo each had a pair of hits.

Burlington-Edison 14, Nooksack Valley 8

The Tigers took the lead in the first inning, the third inning and the fifth inning, and the Pioneers answered them every time. However, when Burlington-Edison re-captured the lead for the fourth time in the top of the sixth, Nooksack Valley was unable to match it. Senior catcher Alayna Dykstra nearly hit for the cycle as she collected a triple, two doubles and a single to lead the Pioneer offense. She was aided by senior shortstop Shelby Mason who also collected four hits. Dykstra and Gracie Rutgers each drove in a pair of runs, and Grace DeHoog had two hits.

Mount Vernon 13, Blaine 3

There was little that the Borderite could do at home to slow down the powerful Bulldogs, who scored run sin each of the first five innings. Courtney Roff and Shaylie Daniels each had a pair of hits to lead Blaine, while Roff also scored two runs and Brie Smith drove in two runs.

Sedro-Woolley 16, Mount Baker 0

The Cubs showed their dominance once again as Kasandra Gonzalez struck out 12 batters over five innings and allowed just two hits at home. The Mountaineer hits came off the bats of Kara Welters and Zaida Haynes.
