Over the past three weeks the Borderites have been playing their best soccer of the season, and it continued against the Lyncs in the semifinal round of the 1A District Tournament. Dima Yuryev scored twice, including a heart-breaking goal in the final two minutes to help secure the victory for Blaine. Abel Vega was able to make a multiple saves over the final eight minutes which kept the Borderite lead in tact. Blaine will now take on Meridian on Saturday at 3:00 in a winner-to-bi-districts game at Blaine High School. Before that game will be a loser-out contest between Lynden Christian and Nooksack Valley at 1:00.

The Trojans continued to ride their hot streak as they defeated the Pioneers in the semifinal round of the 1A District Tournament. Goals from Omar Abdo and Skyler Rowe proved to be the difference as Meridian will now face Blaine on Saturday at 3:00 at Blaine High School, and Nooksack Valley will play a loser-out game against Lynden Christian at 1:00 on Saturday at Blaine High School.
