The Storm started out strong in the first 20 minutes with many chances, but Trojan senior Kellen Todd got the ball and drove down the middle of the field and scored on a shot from 25 yards away. Squalicum came back to tie it up after a corner kick and the ball was put in by Christian Valero-Garcia. The score was tied at 1-1 at the half, and the second half started pretty even and Meridian’s Dakota Ng scored on a deep shot to take the lead. It was another corner kick that led to the Storm’s second goal as Sebastian Cruz scored. In the final minutes, Skyler Rowe scored on a cross to secure the win for the Trojans.
Lynden 4, Lynden Christian 3
Eddie Briseno and Malachi Koenen each scored a pair of goals as the Lions came away with the narrow victory on the road, albeit less than a mile away from home. Sophomore Harvest Howell scored all three goals for the Lyncs, including an incredibly acrobatic bicycle kick.
Blaine 1, Ferndale 0
The Borderites came together as a team on the road to blank the Golden Eagles. Abel Vega was in goal for Blaine, and the lone goal came from Dima Yuryev, his seventh of the season.
Sehome 7, Nooksack Valley 0
The reigning North County Alliance FC Player of the Week, Liam Schumacher, kept his hot streak alive as he had a hat trick on the road against the Pioneers. The Mariners also got a goal and two assists from Rudy Zurcher. Julian Herring, Mason Ivcevic and Sam Rosbach also scored for Sehome, with assists also coming from Luke Yawitz, Ivcevic, Kevin Schroeder and Ryder Syre.
Bellingham 1, Mount Vernon 1
The Bayhawks got a goal from Manny Hernandez who went top shelf as Bellingham settled for the tie on the road against the Bulldogs.
