The Mariners remained unbeaten on the season by getting off to a fast start at Civic Stadium against the Red Wolves. In a fast paced match that saw both squads earn numerous chances early on it was Liam Schumacher who squeaked through the Cedarcrest defense to score the first goal of the game. Sehome continued to work hard throughout the first half with pinpoint passes and smart possessions, and it led to a late first-half goal from Chris Munkhzul. The Mariners were able to stay the course in the second half with the two-goal lead, and secure the state quarterfinal victory. Sehome will now face Columbia River in the semifinals at 5:00 on Friday at Memorial Field in Federal Way.
